what the fuck? i don't even know what that is. this is not film making. this is a forty-year-old asshole shooting huge sticky wads and bullshit on a green screen because he knows it'll attract his general collective of weird little pricks. oh and by the way? check out the wikipedia page for this. it's not even the original storyline, it's a prequel or something stupid like that. so:

1. he couldn't just be the dipshit to make live action alice in wonderland, he had to be the dipshit to make some variation of it.
2. he's been a bad director for about ten years.
3. i hate his fanbase. every single one of them.

what do you think?

Ha, I definitely just had this conversation with people at school a few days ago. I've never been a Tim Burton fan, have never seen his movies more than once, and people assume it's because I can't appreciate anything "dark" or "artistic." There's a big difference between being creative and twisting a storyline and straight up trying too hard to make something cutting edge.

Alice has always been one of my favorite stories so I'm really disappointed with this. However, I think SyFy did a good job with their Alice- much better than I expected. IMO, that is a good example of something that is creative and on the darker side, without seeming like it's trying too hard to do so.

I think Tim Burton's alright. I liked a lot of his older movies and such, but recently, he can't seem to come up with a decent idea to save his life. And this Alice is just a rape of my childhood.

Also, after seeing Sci-Fi's Alice miniseries, I just can't stand to see an ugly hatter, lol.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I saw the trailer for the first time. I don't even understand how they justified Wonderland becoming so dark. "The Queen of Hearts is a TYRANT!" Um. She was that before, wasn't she? And Wonderland was still magical then. And the mad hatter wasn't a creepy fuck ginger. Where are you going with this?
